With more than 25 years of teaching experience at secondary, junior college and polytechnic levels, founder Roger Lam leads Maths Thinkers in guiding students on their journey toward mastery of mathematics.
Maths Thinkers classes are kept small in size. Each class has a maximum of six students so that we can provide them with dedicated attention. Students learn at ease in a conducive environment.
Our Founder
Maths Thinkers is founded by Roger Lam who has vast experience teaching in local secondary schools, junior colleges and polytechnics. A top graduate with an engineering degree, Roger worked in a US multinational corporation before switching to teaching. He is immensely interested in how mathematics can be applied in real life, and is effortlessly able to explain the fundamentals which students need in future.
Roger strongly believes in engaging students and helping them in their metacognition skills, connecting new knowledge to existing schemas. Through various questioning techniques, he boldly probes and challenges students to think deeper whenever they are solving a question, toward building a stronger foundation in their conceptual understanding of mathematics.
